KFC blues ....
Yesterday ah end up in KFC ........ de newly refurbished one in Westmoorings .......
Now I doh go KFC! ...... so if yuh spot meh in one ....... is because ....... ah go dead if ah doh eat ....... and nowhere else open (although KFC so stink dat yuh could probably dead if yuh DO eat it!!!) ......... or because I'm accompanying someone ......
So there I was ..... wrappin up ah lil babysitting stint ..... headin home ....... fuh lil sweetie's mummy tuh come pick her up ...... when lil sweetie decide ....... she want ice cream ..... so being the good 'aunty' that I am ...... ah say leh meh take her to TCBY ..... de closest one being in Westmoorings ..... inside KFC .....
Inasmuch as we were there (i.e. inside KFC) ..... I opted for a sandwich instead of ice cream ..... as I hadn't eaten anything for the day ......... so while lil sweetie and her mummy (who met up with us) ...... were ordering the ice cream ...... I fall eeen bout 2 feet away ...... tuh line up fuh meh KFC sandwich .......
Being very familiar wit de STINK service in dat particular KFC ....... I was not the least bit surprised at yet another bout of it ....... I was like the 4th person in the line ...... and it took me 25 minutes to get dat sandwich ....... ah shoulda jus eat de ice cream!! ...... as ah say ....... is a given dat yuh go get bad service in KFC ....... but ..... being one tuh always order and run (far) ....... I never really sit down inside tuh eat ..... which is what we end up doin ....... I was horrified at the surroundings ....... de place jus stink!!! ...... de food stink ...... de service stink ....... de tables stink ..... de floor stink ...... de condiment counter stink ..... de bathrooms stink (wit no toilet paper which they took 10 minutes to replenish while lil sweetie was painfully holdin it eeen!!!!) ...... now how do you tell a 6 year old child to 'hold it in'!?!?!? ...... and where did the KFC staff member have to go ..... to get de toilet paper ...... in HILO next door!?!?!? ......
I wondered about the areas dat customers doh see ...... like where de food is stored ..... and cooked ...... I wondered what qualifications yuh need tuh work in KFC ....... I wondered about the condition of the other 36 branches nationwide ...... if dis is what ah bran new KFC could look like!!!!

I think it's 3 O'levels to work KFC...same to be a police officer too if I'm not mistaken.

I've stopped eating at KFC for the reasons visually represented here AND because of the ginormous rats I've seen at the St. James drive through!!!

"ginormous rats" you say .... sounds like the description of a 'manicou' ...... maybe that's why they're becoming 'extinct'!!!

Speaking of manicou (manicoux?), I visited St. Lucia recently and saw a road sign which said...and I quote:
"DRIVE SAFELY
MANICOU CROSSING"
