..... is a Trini multipurpose phrase ..... which can be used as a question ..... or an exclamation ..... or ..... in the trini male world ..... as both a greeting ...... AND ..... the response e.g. 

              Male 1:     Aye, wuz de scene?
              Male 2:    wham fadda, wuz de scene?

              Male 1:     Jus cool
              Male 2:     Scene!

(if only us women communicated so eloquently!!!) 


Before I started blogging ..... I'd heard about the phenomenon ..... from two friends who also blog ..... it was not something I saw myself doing ..... altho I quite liked reading theirs ..... I think ... I thought .... that I wouldn't have the time ..... or the topics ...... or the courage ..... but once I'd been thrown off da deep end (explanation below) ...... I realised that .... I couldn't have started off on a better note ...... cuz with such a nonsensical tag line (Highlighting a lot of nothing ... about everthing!) ..... regular doses of 'nothing' soon became quite natural 

I've been blogging (or blah-blah-ing) ...... for exactly 8 months ..... yep ..... I came on de scene ..... February 4, 2008 ..... and can't believe that I'm still on de scene ..... cuz honestly ..... I ended up here ..... quite by accident .... actually no ...... by force ...... and ..... since it lookin like ah here fuh at least another 8 months ..... I guess now is as good a time as any ..... to introduce ME ....... WUZ DE SCENE?

You see ..... I've been known to ALWAYS have an 'opinion' ...... on everything ...... some smart ones ...... some dotish ones ..... and I would always share those opinions (and thoughts) ...... either with the public ..... via Letters to the Editor ...... or with friends ...... via email (altho none of them ever asked)  ...... then one day ..... in January ..... I think it was the day I wrote about what its like to be born ah 'Trini' ..... in the month of January ..... i.e. right after Christmas ..... and right before Carnival (maybe I'll repost it next January) ..... anyway ..... as ah was sayin ...... that day ..... one of my sisters (I have 2) ....... who lives abroad (both live abroad) ...... and relishes ANYTING trini! ...... after getting that email .... she suggested to me ..... that I start a blog ..... where I could dump all my crap ...... and that way ...... I wouldn't bombard people wit ah setta shit ...... and the onus would then be on them ..... to simply gravitate towards the shit themselves ..... and that ..... that way ..... even trinis abroad would be able to access my shit etc. etc. etc. ..... which in her unbiased opinion (as my sister) ..... was good enuff tuh share! .... between you and me tho .... I think it was really her master plan ..... to get me .... to stop fillin up her Inbox wit crap!

I DID NOT like the idea at all ...... didn't like the thought of being on da net ....... fuh every Tom, Dick and Harrylal tuh see ...... didn't like the idea of exposing myself to people I don't know ..... didn't like the idea of people being able to oppose me if they didn't like my shit ..... or didn't agree wit it ..... didn't like the idea of people makin out dat I really AM an idiot ..... so ..... I jus didn't take orn de blog suggestion ...... but ..... that was not 'THE END' ..... my sister ...... stuck with her plan for me ..... or rather ..... for my crap ...... she didn't have me tuh study at all! ...... she eh take me orn one fart ...... one day ...... I just get ah email from her ..... sayin ...... yuh new blog is called 'WUZDESCENE' ..... and if yuh eh use it ..... den all de shit yuh does email meh ..... ah go just put it orn mehself! ...... full stop! ..... she done talk! ..... so ..... I figured since it was a done deal ...... and a paid for one too ..... ah better has use it! ...... crick crack ...... WUZDESCENE!?

So ...... thanks to my sister ...... I was bestowed with the responsibility ..... of maintaining a high level of crap ..... reported in a timely manner ..... as opposed to the ad hoc way ..... I went about my ranting and raving emails ...... and ..... kudos tuh her ...... fuh de borse name too!!!

Anyway ..... as ah done say .... and .... as you would have figured out by now ...... this blog ...... is really about nothing in particular ...... just anything Trinbagonian .... its a place where I lime ...... where I say whatever ...... where I freely release my inner idiot ..... where I talk shit (the G rated kind tho) .... and where of late .... I spend a considerable amount of time (lookin at de stats and all kinda dotishness) ..... so WELCOME ..... thanks for making my blogging experience so cool .... and fun ..... and .... do continue tuh stay tuned tuh 'De Scene' ...... cuz yuh never know when crap will hit de site!

Oh .... and a big HOLLA to my new friends in da blogosphere ...... and a just as big HOLLA to all my readers ...... yep .....
