da Wild Wild West ....

I am such a child ....... and sometimes a drama queen ...... cuz this one really blew me away!

They came ....... they chilled ...... they neighed ....... they shat ....... they left ...... No ..... is not Parliament ah talkin bout ..... is ...... HORSES!!!!

This morning ...... while organising coffee ...... I start tuh hear ah setta NEIGHIN ..... as in ..... de high pitch sound ah horse does make! ..... and ...... tho it was kinda strange ...... it was kinda familiar too ...... cuz it wasn't the first time I'd heard that noise ..... in this neck of the woods ...... for a few months now ...... dat same neighing sound ..... would sometimes float around in de air ...... but ...... since is Apartments I livin in ...... in a fairly residential area ..... in Diego ...... I would always assume dat is somebody TV ..... or is somebody playin a video game or sumtin ........ but ...... this morning ....... de NEIGHIN seemed ah lil different ..... it was louder than usual ...... and de reason it was louder ...... is because it was coming from 3 big ass, hard back, REAL horses!!! ..... yep ...... horsing around ....... right under my nose!

Fuh real! ...... investigations revealed ........ dat 3 big, beautiful, brown horses ...... wuz jus chillin ....... chillin in my yard ...... right next to my car!!!!!! ...... de same car I jus spend ah setta money tuh service ....... well yuh know me ...... meh inner reporter take over ....... and ah fly inside ..... tuh get meh camera quick ...... cuz dis was just too weird ...... I had to capture it .......

Who woulda tink ...... dat it have horses livin cool cool ....... right up de road by me ....... so much years I livin here ...... and I never know dat ...... and tuh tink ..... dat is only de odda day ...... I was clued in bout ...... people buyin panthers and jaguars and ting ...... and lo and behold ...... it have horses livin on my street!! ...... ah normal street in Diego ...... wit normal houses ...... dat have normal size yards ....... dat not even big enuff tuh fit two car ..... worse again ...... 3 horse!!!

Anyway ...... by the time I got out of my house ...... and down the steps ...... into the yard ...... they were already making their way off de compound ..... leaving behind a lovely heap of crap ....... which I immediately eyed ..... tuh make some good manure ..... fuh dem bodi ah growin ...... I followed them into the road ....... where I captured every fleeting moment ...... of the 5 minutes they limed ....... where they grazed ...... while neighbours and passersby gawked at them ...... including an old man ........ who insisted that I take his picture too ....... so tell me ...... are horses ....... the new dogs?! ..... is this 'normal' ...... or am I overreacting as usual?

WOW ...... life in Diego ...... never a dull moment ....... guns AND Horses!..... da Wild Wild West indeed!!!

... making their way out of my yard ..... down de driveway ...... off de compound ..... into de road

leaving behind ah lil sumtin sumtin ...... tuh fertilize meh bodi  ..... buh hear nah ...... you ever notice ..... dat horses does shit everywhere dey pass ..... is like their way of sayin 'we wuz here' ......

eatin ah food ..... dat dey clearly eh gettin where dey livin ........ look at dem ribs in de nex pic ...... look at how dey showin ...... poor things!

that is de man who wanted his pic taken ...... ah ask him if he's de owner ...... an he say No ....... he just wanted his pic taken ..... poor fella ...... look at him ..... it doh look like he's get his pic taken too often ...... but on another note ...... said horses were roaming the street ...... and people yard ..... on dey own ...... nobody knew the owner ..... or where he/she was ...... not a good situation!

so dey done eat ...... and headin back up de road ...... to where they live ...... now I have no idea what's past my driveway ..... but I understand ...... there's a big, empty lot of land at the end of my street ..... so apparently that's where they live ..... maybe one day ..... I'll take ah lil maco

still homebound ...... go horsey ..... go home quick ...... before somebody kidnap yuh ..... tuh make ah weave ......

..... and disappearing into the wilderness ..... that is my street!

hey, we're almost neighbours! A couple years ago I was at home alone, everybody else on the compound was out. It was an Easter Sunday or Monday. Three o'clock in the afternoon I hear this clopping noise. Wha? Coming down off the hill, like the four horsemen of the apocalypse, these dudes with beautiful, real, HORSES, in Diego. Near Westmoorings too. Well blow me down I thought I was seeing things, even the dog was a little confused. I wondered if I was dreaming but nope, next day, there they were, front page of the newspapers.

    Where Will Smith?

Yes, I heard about this phenomenon. Urban street horses, roaming the streets of Diego Martin and environs, sending residents scrambling for their cameras, phones and camera-phones.
Apparently, the animals were left to their own devices in their formative years and have now evolved into gangs. These particular equines are members of the notorious H-unit gang. This gang has been in existence for some time now and has managed to secure various lucrative Horseepep contracts. They are known to invade neigborhoods and reek havoc with their flatulence, defecation and indiscreet grazing. Flies are asked to exercise extreme caution as there have been several reported incidents of swatting. Anyone with information on any gang member/s is asked to call 800-OATS even if the member is yuh real horse.

This blog is a real riot

I like these pictures and I bull-fertilizer you not.

About five years ago, in a nice part of St. Augustine, where I live, a horse was seen walking the streets. I went to the people who I knew had horses and a few teenage children in St. Augustine, about the loose horse and they said all their horses and most of their children were accounted for. However, they did put me on to another horse owner in the area and he promptly came for Betsy and rode away at noon.
