Pray .... Please!

The Sabbath ...... according to my dictionary ...... is the first day of the week ...... Sunday ...... observed as the day of rest and worship by most Christians ...... and ...... as I reflect on this day ...... I can't help but feel ...... like I was 'helped' (in ah kinda divine way) ...... to rest ...... and worship ..... cuz what else can one do ...... but rest ..... and worship ..... when fuh de whole blasted weekend ..... YUH EH HAVE NO BLASTED WATER!!!!

Is just last week I pay my Water Bill ..... fuh why?! ..... why we does really pay bills in dis country ...... why bother ...... utilities is dis country jus bloody wotless! ..... why we does be payin ah setta money ....... fuh SALT in return ....... ah chut man! ...... wuz de real scene?! ...... ah cyah take it!!! ..... is like ah goin mad!!!! ....... ah go explo!!!! ...... cuz if it eh ..... one ting ..... is de odda ...... if is not .... current gorn .... is no water ..... and if is not ..... water gorn ..... is no current ...... and den when current gorn ..... water does go too ..... LORD ..... put ah hand ..... on dis cursed land!!!

Sigh! ..... so de water now come back ...... at 8:50 pm ...... since leaving at 6:00 am yesterday ...... 8:50 pm!!!! ...... after I done make two trips ahready ...... totin ah setta bucket and container an ting wit water ....... after ah done wash all de dirty dishes .... de primitive way! ..... after ah done hole ah fresh .... wit one ah dem same damn bucket!!! ..... but ...... I give thanks ...... as I begin to see the glass half full ...... and empathise with those ..... who never see pipe-borne water ..... tuh full dey glass ...... I give thanks ..... because my sufferation was bound to come to an end ...... but to some ...... that's their life ....... every day of life!

I give thanks ...... on this Sabbath night ..... and I pray ..... for Trinidad .... and Tobago .... and my sanity!

    it was a day to say thanks for what we had... even if we want electricity at the flick of a switch and water running as soon as we turn the tap... the almighty knows why we have troubles...
