More FIRE ... WORKS that is!
WOW ..... it pays tuh live on ah slight incline ....... on de outskirts of communities dat eh business wit tightenin no belt ..... place like ...... Westmoorings ...... Goodwood Gardens ...... Victoria Gardens ........ even Cocorite and Bayside look like dey was in de mix too ....... and not tuh forget de good ole infamous Sangangar Hill ...... cuz you know is now 12:39 am ...... on January 1, 2009 ....... and is real noise in de place still ..... wit real fireworks and firecracker an' ting still bussin ....... CLICO Independence Day Fireworks eh want nutitn with we in de WEST!!! ....... of course amidst de rainbow of beauty ....... and splash of colour ....... was a couple bright blue lights of POLICE ....... cuz yuh know real man does get shoot too when fireworks bussin!!!
Trinis is de bess yes ....... not ah damn ting go stop dem from spendin .... and having ah good time!
Good ....... ah sing meh Auld Lang Syne (tuh de top of meh voice) ...... ah take meh lil drink ...... an' ah see nuff fireworks ...... I could safely go an' sleep now!!

I live on a hill in St. Augustine and can see all the way down to the San Fernando Hill, even beyond. I have some shots, but not very good ones of the fireworks in the Caroni Plains. Very nice but the animals are frantic. My neighbor took extra precautions to secure his seven dogs safely. It's nice to celebrate but we must think of the animals as well. Have a Happy New Year, Scene!!
