This morning ...... my father ..... who is in Trini ...... fuh one week only ....... and who is a super internet peong ...... decided to call TSTT ..... after reaching his peak of frustration ...... well dey make him do ah setta stupidness ....... startin wit ...... checkin de modem settings ...... den dey tell him tuh unplug de black cord ....... den dey tell him tuh unplug de yellow cord ...... den dey tell him tuh leave it so fuh ah few seconds ...... den dey tell him tuh plug dem back eeeeen ..... well ....... dat worked fuh all of 5 minutes ..... den like dey didn't know what else tuh tell him ...... so dey tell him dat it sounding like is ah Diego ting ...... an' dat dey will send somebody ..... tuh go an' check de Diego Exchange!!!
Steups ...... Diego Exchange my foot!! ...... right now ...... I real feelin de word 'Exchange' ...... tuh bloody FLOW ...... or even Green Dot instead ........ but den again ..... dat might be jumpin from de fryin pan into de fire!
Anyway ...... on tuh more interesting things ....... did y'all watch de TV today (like who didn't) ........ oh gorm ...... dat Barack Obama man ...... whey he really come out from bwoy ...... de man just mesmerising ...... and exudes such power ....... and dat speech ...... and oh gosh ..... he jus so damn NICE ....... and tank de Lord Michelle didn't wear orn another catastrophe (like dat red an' black number) ..... an' you see de amount ah people dat went tuh dat ting ....... in dat weather ...... WOW ..... ah jus waiting tuh hear which Trinis was dey (well other than Jack Warner and Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj) ...... cuz yuh know it have real Trinis who woulda go (jus tuh say dat dey was dey)!

So ah jump eeeen meh car ...... cuz ah had ah lil small turn tuh make in town ...... an' hear nah ...... is like everybody stay home tuh watch de TV ...... not one bit of traffic was on de road ...... cars was scarce ...... an' people too ....... which was great ..... anyway ...... driving back home now ...... look at what I go bounce up on Ariapita Avenue ..... now is someting ah hear bout eh ...... cuz like it dere ah while ..... but ah never see it wit meh own two eyes ...... well today of all days ...... is when dis ting go jump out at me ....... de infamous sign ...... "PISS ON THE RBTT BANKING MORONS" ..... and the irony of seeing it today (of all days) ...... cuz look at de sign dat right below ...... LOL ...... Trinis is real kix yes ....... cuz why would a business person put up dat foolishness on dey business place ...... unless dey lil mad (as in insane) ...... cuz there's no doubt dat dey are mad (dat dey didn't get de loan)!
........ and then ...... de audacity ....... tuh stick up another sign ..... on dey fence ..... tuh say "PLEASE DO NOT URINATE ON WALL"?! ..... when dey want tuh ...... "PISS" on de RBTT Morons!!!
An' oh gorm ..... look what I witness ...... on Morne Coco Road ..... ah little boy ..... gettin ruff up by ah Police on motorbike ....... an' den de Police handcuff him ....... an' den de Police trow him in ah Coast Guard pickup dat happen tuh be passin ...... I doh know what de lil boy was doin or did ....... ah didn't reach in time tuh see all ah dat ...... but de lil boy looked so young ..... Ahhhhhh ...... dem bandits an' dem jus gettin younger and younger!!!

Go with the FLOW. Trust me the most i ever had to do is reset the box IF the internet giving trouble. You know i find that store real bold to be putting up that sign. They clearly have no shame...but it is a good laugh while passing. Who are they anyway?? And what is the real story?? Is it only a loan they getting on so for??

I glad somebody find de balls to express how they feel about the 'big' bank. Is plenty ah we does think so, plenty ah de time (even if not all ah de time) but who among us brave enough to express it?

Yes ..... that is true ...... most of us feel that way about many places in TnT ...... not only de Bank ..... and in hindsight ..... maybe putting up that sign was not such a foolish act afer all ...... cuz you know how much people muzbe does see dat ..... an' want tuh know WHY ...... and walk eeeen de store tuh find out ...... so I realise now .... dat it was really ah lil advertising/marketing scheme ..... cuz really an' truly ..... Trinidad banks are making it more and more difficult for AFRICANS & INDIANS access their banking products and services. YET, while these are the very people whose combined savings propel local banking and whose such savings are loaned to the minority cliques and clans, they are left to form long lines begging for service.
When people started complaining about rising bank fees back in the late 90's when banks earned around $200M, the then ROYAL BANK CEO arrogantly boasted to the media 'THE BANK IS MORE LIKELY TO HOLD THE HANDS OF THE COMPLAINANT AND WALK THEM ACROSS THE STREET INTO TO LOBBY OF THE COMPETITOR THAN TO REDUCE THEIR FEES"
A bank in Valsayn boldly refused to change a Waitress's 4 year old Savings account to a chequing "Because her references are not known to me". When PIRG confronted her, the moron of a banker responded "We will be giving her a cheque book containing 25 cheque leaves Mr. Hosten, although this client from humble beginnings NEVER had another banking account or other history Good or Bad.
A returning resident was furious after visiting the offices of Trinidad's so Called INDIGENOUS bank in Pt. Lisas "It took me 3 and a half hours just to get an account opened. But first, they did not want to give me any Chequing Account whatsoever although I am an successful home Builder and had my Company's registration. They still refused and ended up giving me a personal chequing instead of one for my legitimate business, but only after they told be I first needed to have an established savings account with them. I pointed out I already had a US Account and only on realizing I had $11,000 in this Account, they decided to do me this great big favor". So what if a poorer guy had no such funds in his account? THIS IS NOT HOW BANKING IS DONE IN THE US AT ALL.

When the wicked and parochial Trinidad banks CHOSE to NAME & SHAME otherwise honest borrowers with their despicable SALE BY MORTGAGEE ads in the newspapers, no one complained. At that time Honest people lost their jobs and ended up losing their homes and even their family too as banks can and do determine people's quality of life, especially when you as a previously good Customer is NOW no longer favorable to their financial bottom-line, and they PISS on you!
WAKE UP TRINIS: What passes for banking in Trinidad & Tobago IS NOT banking and all these fools desperate for financing simply take what their bank give them, afraid to challenge these powerful bastards while allowing them to dip their hands deeper and deeper into their pockets to extract more and more fees and charges to fatten their clique and clans, yet shamelessly treating the INDIANS & AFRICANS with contemptuous disdain waiting in long lines with UNTRAINED Tellers operating at 40 to 60% capacity.
Trinidad Bankers are mere Robots, DUMB & Dotish, aloof, arrogant and predatory but would steal you great business ideas or a great land deal at a good price while in the process of evaluating your application. Nobody LIES like the Trinidad Banker, trust me. They would then use the bank's resources as their personal fiefdom knowing they have heavyweight legal firms with absolutely no care about JUSTICE whatsoever as per their OATH, because they are far more concerned about pedaling their overpriced services (Which is usually passed on to the Consumer) while using the Courts to actually wear down a frustrated client too financially drained to fight the big and powerful banks .
Why would the IMF clearly state: "THE POLICIES AND PRACTICES OF TRINIDAD BANKS DO MORE TO HURT RATHER THAN HELP THE ECONOMY", and the prestigious TIME magazine calls them "PREDATORS IN PARADISE".
Credit Cards are 24 to 43%. Mortgages are 11 to 18% plus paying to get the loan too. To swipe your Credit Card the merchants have to pay these Suckers 5% while 18% overdraft interest at compounded rates can reach 48%.
PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT BANKING.

I worked at a bank for 16 years ...... so I can't say that I feel your pain ...... cuz as an employee ...... I was afforded preferential treatment in most areas e.g. loans, mortgages etc. ...... but ..... that does not mean I don't empathise ...... cuz I do know ...... that there are many people out there who feel as you do ...... and want to shout as loud as you do ..... but not brave enuff to express themselves that way ...... or even as outspoken as you are ..... I vaguely remember the PIRG ads that used to run in the newspapers .... and at the time ..... it seemed to me that you were fighting a one man battle ..... cuz you know Trinidadians are complainers ..... Trinidadians are not action people (dey go complain til dey dead) ...... but back tuh de present ...... I know you're super pissed at the whole supposedly unacceptable situation re: banking in Trini ...... but don't you think that those very expensive (bordering on defamatory) signs are more harmful to YOUR business .... than helpful to your CAUSE ......
.... and why stop at banks ....... is not only banks bamboozlin people ..... what about insurance ...... insurance is de biggest farce!
