I on my blog writin ting bout gettin tagged ..... and how it have no parkin anywhere in Trini ..... and at de same time ..... de big CLICO giant goin under ..... and fren (who get 3 comps) callin tuh organise timin an' ting fuh Bazodee Friday in Pier 1 ...... ah party dat obviously had ah setta people ...... who eh have no money in CLICO ...... and if they did ..... was clearly lookin fuh somewhere tuh drown dey sorrows ...... cuz hear nah ..... I doh know what it will take fuh Trinis tuh sit up and take notice of what happenin in dis once paradise ...... cuz you woulda never know ...... from de looks of tings ..... in dat party ...... dat real shit just hit de fan!

After reachin home from Bazodee at a very ungodly hour ...... was sleep whole morning ..... tuh get up 12:00 noon ...... tuh go tuh class fuh 1:00 pm ....... den when class done ...... was off tuh buy some Chinese food (by meh fave lil joint on de Main Road) ....... and by 5:00 pm ...... I was home and eatin ...... den was more sleep again ...... tuh recuperate lil bit ....... tuh get up bout 10:00 pm ...... tuh organise and head out tuh Wicked in White (in de Oval again!) .....
Now it have real ting tuh say bout dem two parties eh ....... but I eh in dat mood today ...... so fuh now ...... let's just say ...... dat Bazodee really had meh Bazodee ..... and Wicked in White was NOT wicked at all ...... as a matter of fact ...... it was loads of crap and totally vibezless ..... more like Waste of Time in White ...... and could you believe dat parking in King George V Park was $40 ...... WTF ..... like dey tort was really KINGS and QUEENS parkin dey ...... now I didn't park there ..... but ah friend of mine did ...... I tell him he @#$%^& crazy tuh pay dat ...... anyway ...... as ah say ...... is too much tuh say!
But oh gorm ..... before ah move orn tuh Sunday ..... check out dat sign .... dat was on de door of de chinee food place ..... now you know ...... dat once you leave your umbrella outside ..... dat your umbrella was leavin your ass inside ..... cuz you know ..... you wasn't comin back tuh meet Mr. Umbrelly ..... LOL ..... pipers in de area muzbe was likin deyself wit dah sign!

So ah reach home bout 3:30 am ..... from de wicked wase ah time fete ...... but ..... altho in fete timing ..... dat was ah kinda early time ..... I sleep nearly de whole day Sunday ...... cuz two consecutive party ..... just wasn't doin ah body good ..... I was real out of it ..... cuz as I always tell people ...... I may look young
...... but my body reminds me that I'm bloody old!!

Today now ..... de first business day of the month of February ...... start off wit ah bang fuh me ...... cuz after procrastinating and ignoring everything fuh de past few days ....... today was my things-to-do day ......
And de list went like dis ..... ah had tuh pay meh cell bill ....... cuz it due (today) ...... an' I doh like tuh see dat word 'arrears' on my bills at all ...... so I HAD to go pay it today ...... then ..... ah say .... inasmuch as ah goin TSTT ..... leh meh see if fren want meh tuh pay his own too ...... well he said YES ...... then ..... ah eh have nuttin in meh house tuh eat ...... cuz I does wait til serious desperation before I reach de grocery ...... so ah had groceries tuh get ...... den de plumber come some time ...... he send de bill ...... an' I never pay it ...... so today was payment day fuh dat too ...... den ah had tuh go in de Bank tuh pay meh credit card etc. ...... den ah had tuh drop someting off right in de West down de road ...... den ah had tuh drop someting else ..... right in Alyce Glen ...... so allyuh see de kinda day I was gearin up tuh have ......
So anyway ...... after a late start (as usual) ...... ah finally ride out tuh organise all meh stories ...... an' ah start off with de Plumber ..... which was a fairly easy run ...... no traffic ...... no wait ...... I was out in two twos ...... now de Plumber in Carenage ...... so driving back ..... headin tuh Westmall ...... ah notice dat de Glencoe branch of Republic was lookin kinda empty (assessed by de lack of cars in de car park) ...... so ah decide tuh go tuh dat one (instead of my regular Starlite) ...... and again ...... ah breeze ...... I was de next in line ...... so nice ..... everything goin smooth ..... I was outta there in less than 5 minutes ..... and off tuh Westmall tuh head tuh TSTT ...... so ah reach TSTT ...... de line was lil long (as usual) ..... but at least dey had two Cashiers workin ...... so it was actually moving ...... anyway ..... ah reach up tuh de top of de line now .... an' ah third Cashier open up an' call meh ...... now from going tuh that branch all de time ..... ah kinda become familiar wit de Cashiers ...... so I gorn up tuh his window ..... hand him meh bill (together wit fren payment info cuz ah didn't have his bill) ....... ah give him meh credit card blah, blah, blah ...... so while he rippin off voucher ....... and writing up fren voucher ..... and generally organisin de scene ...... we dere making lil small talk ....... when in mid small talk ..... my boy looks at me and says ...... in a now very official TSTT tone ..... "I'm sorry but I am unable to process your transaction as this card is expired" ..... Grrrrrrrrrr?????? ..... well I couldn't believe what I was hearing ...... how could my card be expired ...... I eh get no Notice from de Bank tuh say such?! ...... so anyway ...... after my exclamation of utter shock and surprise (i.e. OMG aka WTF yuh tellin meh!) ...... ah pull out meh debit card quick ...... cuz real people in de line by now eh ...... an' yuh know how close de line is tuh de Cashier ..... so people muzbe done make out dat meh card eh cuttin it!! ...... was pure shame an' ah ackin normal ...... so ah finish pay de two bills now (Tank de Lord ah have money in meh account an' meh debit card work) ..... an' ah hurriedly make meh way out of TSTT ......
Well ah doh have tuh tell yuh what happen next ...... ah pull out said cell phone (dat ah jus pay de bill for) .... an' ah call meh gyul in Republic pronto ......
So ring, ring ..... meh gyul come on de phone ...... well ah start up in she tail ...... as tho is she fault ...... you know when de gyul pull up my name on 'de system' ...... my card in dey Promenade Centre branch somewhere ...... and ..... of course ..... by de time I find dat out ...... dat branch done close ...... so ah bray some more ...... she boil meh down ...... den she tell meh ...... dat it may be TTPost's fault that I eh get no Notice in de mail ....... blah, blah, blah.
Now ..... as I've said on many occasions ...... I am very anal when it comes tuh certain things ....... so something with an expiry date ..... I would normally diarise ....... like my Passport ...... and my driver's permit etc ....... but not my credit card ...... cuz I know dat de Bank does send yuh ah lil reminder .......
Now what woulda happen ...... if I had decide tuh go tuh de grocery first ...... what woulda happen if I had full up ah grocery cart ....... wit my usual $800 worth of a lot of nothing ..... pull out my credit card tuh pay ..... and de Cashier tell me dat it expire ...... well you know I woulda simply walk outta dey ..... like nobody business ...... cuz Cash may be King ...... but in my world ...... Plastic more elastic ...... yes ..... is plastic I does live on ...... me eh have no $800 in my account tuh pay fuh no groceries!!!
So anyway ...... needless tuh say ..... after de lil TSTT embarrassment ..... where ah did done use up meh lil pittance in meh account ...... it was home fuh me ...... so tomorrow now ...... I have tuh brave town ...... quite by Republic Promenade Centre ..... tuh go get my new card ...... and then its off tuh de grocery ...... tuh go burn up said card ...... so between now and tomorrow ....... is water I livin on ...... and some Crix crumbs ...... an' ah go jus hadda scrape de toothpaste tube ..... oh an' ah have ah lil coffee dregs tuh make ah cup in de morning .......
After my wonderful day ..... when ah reach home ..... ah end up takin ah lil cool down gape on meh porch ...... where I observed some parrots havin ah time ...... which prompted me to pull out my camera ...... and take a couple pics ....... kind of like my therapy
Ahhhhhhh ....... what it must be like ....... to be free as a bird ...... with not a care in the world ...... no CLICOs ....... no credit cards ....... no TSTTs (cuz meh internet still foolin around every now an' den) ...... no Republic Banks ...... no plumbing problems ...... and best of all ...... no grocery runs!!!!

Oh gosh girl, tell meh bout dem credit card stories. I got my new card de odder day and went to pay ah dental bill. Wrong!!!! Dat blasted card ent budge. I tell de girl try again...nothing. You know de blasted card ent activate. When I collected it at the bank, I say dem people fix meh. I had to call some number after getting it. Security bull$hit. That was most embarrasing, to say the least.

Oh gosh!I doa like credit cards at all! Yuh know how they say..Visa...don't leave home without it...not true! It was my birthday one year and I went shopping (cause I had a big party planned that night and ting). Imagine a go the ppl them big big designer store try one a million dress and finally decided on one frock with the matching shoes...and bag. I ready to pay and go 'bout my business when the sales lady tell mi my credit card is not valid. I nearly bawl!!! Luckily, a friend was there with me and she paid for me. *Embarrassment*
