Carnival nearly done .... Amen!
I am so tired eh .... and sick ..... but comps just keep poppin up ..... and we all know Rule No. 101 re: freeness ..... waste not, want not! 
So last nite was Eyes Wide Shut ..... and ...... in retrospect ..... that's exactly what I shoulda do instead ..... go in meh bed ..... and keep meh eyes wide shut .... cuz let's face it ...... if yuh been tuh two carnival fete ..... is like yuh been tuh all ..... yuh good ..... yuh eh need tuh go tuh no more ...... cuz they are all the same .....
Eyes Wide Shut was in de Oval ...... yes ...... yet another OVAL party ...... and the third fuh me ...... so I pretty much felt like I was in de same party ...... just de BLACK version ...... cuz de first one was ...... just that ...... ONE ...... den de nex one was WHITE ..... and not wicked at all ....... den last nite was BLACK (literally) ....... so it was de same venue ...... same parkin stress ...... same layout ...... same drinks ...... same stress tuh get drinks ..... same food (ah eat gyro again) ...... same dotish toilets wit no blasted mirrors ...... imagine dey had one little itsy bitsy handheld mirror in de ladies ...... fuh everybody tuh share ..... Grrrrrrr??? ...... de ting was so small ..... dat one ah yuh eye was literally completely 'shut' out ...... while yuh lookin at yuh odda eye ..... yep ...... yuh whole face couldn't fit in it ..... den de toilet paper kept runnin out ...... den dey had ah setta dotish samples ..... like hair gel an' ting ...... Tresemme shit ..... again ..... who de arse does go party and really try out dem ting ..... when dey hit de toilets?? ...... de only good ting dat was dey ...... was de deoderant ...... cuz some people really seemed 'unsure' ....
Then there was de bands ..... Destra and Her Band (steups - dat name even more dotish dan Shurwayne and YOU!!!) ..... Machel and HD (look like my boy behave himself fuh ah change) ...... and Roy Cape (I didn't even realise dem still around - doh like dat Blaxx song at all!) .... now allyuh done know ..... dat I doh pay attention tuh de bands ..... but one thing that struck me ...... was Destra's constant pleas ..... fuh people tuh jump or wave or misbehave ...... cuz she kept making comments like ...... "y'all could do better than that" ...... "y'all could jump higher dan dat" ....... "y'all could scream louder dan dat" ...... which tuh me deserved another ...... STEUPS .... cuz fuh heaven's sake ...... I so tired followin blasted instructions eh ..... every nite ...... ah setta ..... do dis ...... do dat ...... wave yuh rag ..... jump like yuh mad ...... han' in de air ...... rag in de air ...... flag in de air ..... sheeeesh ..... enuff already ...... but den again ..... I eh too much up Destra eh ..... so ah probably bein lil biased ..... cuz I guess that IS what soca music is about ...... foolish lyrics masked by ah setta dotish instructions ..... so anyway ..... needless tuh say ..... me eh really take she orn ...... after about de first 15 minutes ..... was back tuh socialisin ...... and gapin ..... and drinking ..... altho ..... cuz ah was lil sore throat-ish ...... ah only drink bout two beers ...... yet another one of my problems wit last nite ...... my soberness ...... I was bored .....
Den because ah couldn't drink ...... ah end up eatin instead .... ah gyro from Arabian Nights (dat was da bomb tho!) ...... and after dat ...... was home fuh me (Roy Cape was still on) ...... by 3:30 am ...... I was in my bed ..... crashed out ...... with Eyes (very) Wide Shut ......
All in all ..... it wasn't too bad ..... but it wasn't really good either ...... but it was much better than Wicked in White ...... doh know why ...... can't quiet put meh finger on it ...... but it was just better ...... well .... minus de pickpocketers ...... yeah ..... ah friend of a friend was robbed of her jewelry and money ..... right by de bathrooms ...... where had bright lights ......
Oh ..... an' I eh know if de Eyes Wide Shut franchise ..... expandin ..... but scattered all over de Bars ..... was dem lil invites ..... fuh ah party called ...... NO SHUT EYES ..... fuh real ..... ah breakfast party ..... I real laugh!
Anyway ..... no Bacchanal fuh me tonight (well so far) ...... but definitely Beach House tomorrow ..... altho ah doh even know where Couva is ...... but ah have ah English tongue in meh mout ..... so ah go find it ..... then Friday ...... is either sleep or Soca Monarch ...... oh and I can't forget tuh go get my Lara link ..... yeah .... we get specific times tuh collect it (on Friday self) ..... den Saturday is class (you could believe dat?! - big Carnival Saturday an' UTT have we goin class!!!) ...... Sunday is Lara ...... and then is Monday (ah fren tryin tuh chain meh up tuh play mas - stay tuned) ..... and then Tuesday ...... and den it'll be all over ..... GREATOS!!!

Yuh know when I hear de story about Sir Mr. Stanford dat was de first thought that cross mih mind - did de players get dey money (or whoever money it was before it get tief). Worse yet what if dey get it and de US decide tuh go after DEM!!!!!

I saw Chris Gale yesterday on TV and he didn't look too worried but Chris might not be the right man to notice for signs of worry and despair.
You got these banners with the right photo-technique. Very good. I am no expert, I just know when it looks good.

Gyul, by the time Ash Wednesday comes around you'll need some serious rest. I have to laugh at the hand held mirror, I can see that thing backing up traffic in the ladies room.
