Talk about gale force winds!!! ...... an' doh ask meh what dat mean eh ...... cuz I eh sure ...... is jus ah term dat ah does hear ..... on de weather news ...... on de TV ..... an' ah jus usin it ..... tuh describe de crazy ass WINDY conditions dat we been experiencing lately ..... cuz de ferocity ..... and de frequency ..... dat dat WIND ..... blowin wit these days ..... it hadda be some kinda 'force' winds ..... if not gale ..... den some odda kind!!
An' I doh know if is jus Diego alone eh .... but WOW ..... fuh de past 3 days ..... BREEZE has been accosting us in de West ....... an' I eh talkin bout no small blow eh ...... I talkin bout some big strong blows ...... and de real tief head ...... is dat it not bein accompanied by rain (which is de norm whenever it have strong breeze) ...... is jus ah setta bouts of spurts ....... of real cold strong breeze ...... and even in de hot sun too!! ...... look jus dis morning self ...... sun blazin ..... and cold breeze blowin hard hard ..... meh body get confuse ..... ah had tuh put orn clothes yes ...... fuss de breeze was cold ...... an' I eh complainin yuh know ...... cuz I LOVE BREEZE!! ..... in my AC-less state ...... breeze is ah ting I does welcome wit open doors and open windows ..... any day ..... any time ..... especially in de nite when ah ready tuh sleep!!
And of course too ..... because my house always open up ..... de breeze bringin wit it ..... various sights and sounds ..... like de trees on de mountain..... some swayin from side tuh side ..... like if dey winin ..... and some jus bennin dong like if dey limbo-in ...... den from de trees ..... and de plants dat ah have ...... leaves and twigs and other stray things ...... blowing inside de house ..... den miscellaneous (light) tings fallin down all over de place ..... meh newspapers flyin away ...... de doors slammin ...... de blinds in meh room (dat doh have de clips tuh keep it down) flyin up tuh de ceilin ...... and droppin back down wit de loudest bang ever ..... de ceilin tiles poppin up (and inside de roof) ...... and den de wind .... itself ...... howlin ...... like in ah horror movie!
I'm tellin yuh ..... it's been like ah big noisy fan from heaven ...... and ..... while I've been thoroughly enjoying the sudden coolness of my space ..... I've also been wondering ...... what's up wit Trini weather these days ...... is someting going orn dat I doh know about ...... cuz dat BREEZE really eh normal!

Yuh know I can empathize, I do not like the noise that comes with the breeze (or storms over here). Looking at that pic with the magnificent view from your porch would make me want to switch locations with you any time.

I think this crazy breeze caused the waves crashing into Mosquito Creek. I enjoyed the nighttime breeze but I didn't fly a kite. This is strange weather and maybe it was the approaching recession or just the hot air from Salibea

Is kite season, Wuzdescene!!! Get some kite paper, cocoyea, string and glue? You could make a mad bull or if that too complicated, just tear out a copybook page and make a lil chicky-chong. When Life throws you high winds, put up a kite. Sounds heavenly though. If you had a big clump of bamboo or casuarina trees nearby, that would have been more music!

I did get the twisted humor, did find all of it funny as well. I have no problem with people laughing about things I say as I'm able to laugh at myself sometimes.Keeps me balanced. I have to add that my abstinence is not due to religious reasons. I just have not met anyone that met my preferences lately.
