Round de Savannah ....
Yesterday ah do someting ..... dat ah cyah remember de lass time ah do ..... ah get up 5:00 ...... in de mornin ..... on ah Saturday!!!
Little sweetie invited me to her school's walk-a-thon ..... and I could never blank little sweetie ...... so I graciously accepted her invitation ..... and den ketch meh nennen tuh get up .....
De walk-a-thon was round de Savannah ..... we reach late (as usual) ...... so of course there was no parking (as usual) ...... we end up parkin in de Wild Flower place ....... so anyway ....... we start tuh walk one time ..... cuz by de time we reach ...... people had done finish ahready!! ...... well ...... I never kept up ..... lil sweetie an' her crew leave meh out ...... cuz I was real gapin ...... I was jus in awe ..... you know how long I eh walk around de Savannah ..... dat is one rockin un-round 'roundabout' ...... and yeah ..... I drive around it all the time ...... but I never really take it eeeeeen ...... like did you know that all the trees are labelled ..... I didn't know that ...... and did you know that even dogs hang out at the Savannah .... I didn't know that ..... I was so gapin like ah bloody tourist ...... dat I think I was de last person tuh finish de walk ...... yeah ...... when ah reach back lil sweetie was pissed wit meh ...... and not because I eh end up walkin wit her eh ...... but because I had her camera in my bag ...... so she never got to take pics along the way ...... and with some big white bear dat was there ...... some funny lookin mascot fuh some product ...... so ...... ah had tuh buss some real serious love-up on her ...... and she eventually came around ..... anyway ..... not me again ...... dat lil leisurely walk had me real sweatin ...... I good ...... next time ah go jus put meh lil money!!!

This is one of those hot, new bins dat starrin all over de place now ...... it fancy eh ..... do they have some other purpose ...... other than for the collection of garbage?

This is CHAUD ..... ah relatively new restaurant ....... where a bottle of water is about $80 ....... so I guess I'll have to continue reading the reviews (on dem) ..... as opposed tuh writing one!

Wow,5am is early for someone that usually goes to bed in the middle of the night. It's amazing what you see around town when you're walking instead of driving. I love those pics, specially the old buildings and the art work.The performing arts centre reminds me of the one in sydney australia, looks cool.
That "car wash advertisement" is a riot!lol

These are excellent pics and I need to takes some of these shots again. I had a hard drive crash early in the year and all my POS pics went to jpg heaven. I have two external hard drives now.
That reminds me; I have to put up some more Carnival 2009 pics this week...if I can find the time.

wa iz yuh scene, Scene....all dah papers yuh does read an yuh ain kno dat his almighty...ah ah mean de PM put ah halt tuh dat...RE: de current economy....an we $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ gorn tuh wase...dat ain;t finishing any time in de future...so it makes a lot ah cents tuh leave it open tuh de elements / vandalism and vagrants an drug pushers etc. an maybe nex ten years dey goin tuh have tuh tear it down an start over....MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ WASING...........COME ON PEOPLE LEH WE SLAP SOME SENSE INTO DE PM..named PM...........I want Owen Arthur to be our PM....he will definitely do a better job....He has done so for Barbados who has much less money dan we an even get some ah we own over de years.

I remember driving pass the savannah and seeing ppl walking/jogging around it and thinking to miself...dey real good bwoy...or I too lazy..LOL!
Yuh see that Ministry of Foreign affairs buildings...while I was driving by I asked my Trini fren...."dis place nice ehh...who live here". He then told me it was the Ministry building!
That Performing Arts Centre going to be real impressive...when they finish build it!I hope they finish it for 2010!

Oh gosh girl, I does see that place at 5:00 a.m. when ah running and then again at 4:00 when ah leaving work. It's amazing the details we miss when we're zipping by. 'Round de Savannah' is ah best spot. I used to leave south and just come up there and chill on ah bench with ah bag ah phoulorie and gape
