Talk about confused! ...... cuz all I was seein while readin dat article ..... is dem jokey E-Bikes dat Ian Atherly (former Sando Mayor) try tuh chain up Trinis wit some time ago .....
Cuz really an' truly ...... what kinda bikes it is ....... dey goin an' give big hard-back Policeman and Policewoman tuh ride around on? ...... ah ten-speed fuh de road? ....... an' ah mountain bike fuh when de bandits run up in de Diego hills?? ...... I'm sorry ..... I jus not visualising Police being any more effective ...... ridin bike in packs or pairs or whatever ...... and on top ah dat ...... which machoman Trini Police ...... dey goin an' get tuh ride bike round de country ...... and worse again ..... while wearin ah short pants?! ..... and den wuz de sense of puttin some ah dem in civilian clothes ..... cuz first tuh begin ..... nobody does ride bike in Trinbago ...... so it go be obvious ..... dat if yuh in town or around ..... an' yuh see two man riding bike (even if dey in plain clothes) ...... dat is POHLICE!!!
Anyway ...... de article say ..... dat dey was suppose tuh be on de road from today ...... and I reach as far as Ariapita Avenue ..... and me eh see none!!
Ahhhhhh ...... I long to be cured ..... I long for this lingering cynicism bug tuh go away ...... it have any tablet ah could take?

FUTURE HEADLINES
A white Almera car door accidentally collided with a speeding bicycle cop yesterday causing the young police officer and his bike to somersault, not once but twice before landing on the hood of a gold color Almera with six bread pans in the trunk. The white Almera car door was said to be both owned and opened by a rather attractive woman wearing a very short skirt that had a tendency to entertain by defying gravity. The woman said she was trying to open the door without breaking a nail and didn’t notice the bicycle cop was chasing a man with a Kiss Multigrain bread under his arm. The policeman claimed he didn’t notice the car door since the woman’s skirt was too short. Investigations are continuing but the CoP assured the public the bicycle will be repaired and returned to service before the weekend . Up to press time there was no word on the whereabouts of the bread.

Well this is what I cannot understand! On the news last night I am SURE I heard 'Acting' say that the officers will be on the scene in about 3 weeks...4 for the latest. So when I read that, "Expect to see, from tomorrow..." line I get a lil confused...What is wrong with our reporters? One of the FIRST things we learn in Journalism is to get the basic information right..COME NAH MAN!!! BETTER DAN DAT!!!
As for the E-Bikes lmao...Wha kinda "I got this for my 6th birthday" looking business is that? I don't think those are the bikes the police will be using (at least I hope not)....unless the plan is to catch criminals by making them weak with laughter.

Yes ..... in today's papers ...... dey say ..... it startin from next month now ...... but is no scene ..... cuz my camera always fully charged ...... I cyah wait tuh capture one ah dem on bicycle ...... altho according tuh today's Guardian ..... Police on bicycle eh nuttin new ..... apparently it used tuh have Police on bicycles long time ..... of course dat was back in de day ...... when bandits didn't have gun!!!

Under all de ole talk, ah wonder if dem police and dem fit enough to be riding up and down. I would recommend a few spin sessions tuh get them started. Added to that, imagine ah police on ah bike trying to communicate with another bicylce police. I seeing ah recipe for disaster. Scene, yuh feel dey will get whistles to wear around dey neck.
Ah want tuh be positive about this eh...meh life could depend on it. But, when yuh have bandits killing yuh on the police station compound, I am having a hard time visualizing this bike thing. I await the first batch of bikers.

I ..... in my car ...... does have ah hard time maneuvering pothole and stray dog an' ting ..... worse again if yuh on ah bicycle ...... and yeah ..... I assume they'd have whistles ..... tuh 'blow out' bandits ...... and I understand that the 'hand-picked' few ARE in training ..... so maybe they ARE doing some spin classes ..... I doh know ...... I want tuh be ah believer ..... but until dis ting come into action ...... and until we actually see it workin ..... it will remain just another harebrain idea tuh me!

these are the type of bikes they need to be using. It may also be worthwhile to start up this industry in the Rural areas of T&T. great for transportation and when the Tourists come.
