It's raining
It's pouring
Since last nite ..... into this morning
And like it not stopping
Birds are perching (on my porch)
As if they're sheltering
The roof is leaking
Lightning eh striking (yet)
And no Thunder eh rollin (yet)
But Rainflies ..... geeeeze ..... dey so bloody annoying!
And I'm sure dat somewhere
Trinis have barrel fulling
Rivers are overflowing
Places are flooding (like town)
Land is sliding
Trees are falling
Bridges are collapsing
Cars are skidding
Some are crashing
And traffic muzbe real jammin
But ..... I LOVE the rain!
The smell
The sight
The sound
The feel
The taste (lol ... nah ah never taste it!)
So fuh now
I'll blank out the seeming pain
That the rain can sometimes bring
And embrace instead its blessing
Of colouring the Earth green again
Cuz HELLO ..... when dah sun out ..... dah heat is de worse!!!

Gyul I wish I could send you the rain from over here. It's okay if you can stay inside but if you have to get in and out of the rain it sucks. I sure hope you have the winning lotto ticket,so you can get some water.

Really nice since I experienced the same rain without the poetic thoughts. Sometimes words fail me so I sleep or bathe in the drain hoping the water doesn't rise suddenly and carry me away. Hope you win the lotto but not as much as I hope to win
