Anyway ..... it's been a while ..... so let me start off on a positive note .....

Last week Tuesday .... ah went Woodford Cafe ..... tuh see ah band called Cabezon ...... and could you believe dat ah STAG in dey is $20!!!??

Den .... Saturday gorn ...... ah went Cascadia ..... tuh see ah band called Jointpop .....

And WOW ...... dis country have serious talent ..... I mean ...... I been tuh a few Cabazon shows ..... so I kinda knew I was in fuh a good show from dem  ...... but Jointpop on de other hand ..... tho I'd always heard about them ..... I never saw them live ..... that was my first experience ..... and WOW, WOW, WOW ..... Jointpop is da bomb .... an' I eh no rock gyul eh ..... I jus like what I like ..... I like tuh be entertained ..... and they certainly did ..... they really impressed me ...... but den again ..... apparently dey been around fuh 14 years ...... and it showed!

So right ......

Last nite now ...... ah went tuh de Rehab in Westmoorings ...... tuh check out a COP meeting ..... and how ah reach dey you ask ..... well ...... it was part idleness ..... part de newspaper ad ...... part location ..... and full confusion!

And I say full confusion ..... cuz dat is how dat coalition party have me feeling ...... confused ...... cuz I doh understand how dey all still goin under different names ..... and den depending on who de rep is fuh de area ..... and what party dey from ..... da'is who de meeting go fall under ..... so like last nite was about Rocky Garcia ...... cuz he is de rep fuh Diego West ...... and he from COP ...... but den Verna St. Rose Greaves was dey too ..... I guess on behalf of de UNC .....

Anyway ..... yuh know me ...... ah reach late ..... I muzbe reach about 8:15 ...... and de ting had start since 7:30 ..... when I reach Verna St. Rose Greaves was on ...... but I eh really take eeeeen what she was sayin ..... cuz at dat time ..... I was still tryin tuh find friends in de crowd ..... and get a good vantage point ..... and yes ..... there was a crowd ..... de ting had real people ...... mostly dressed in white ..... and mostly coloured white too ...... yep ...... if yuh feel PNM is ah black people party ...... and de UNC is ah Indian people party ...... den de COP is ah trini-white people party!!! ...... an' I eh tryin tuh bring no race talk in de ting ...... it was clear as day!!

Anil Roberts was de MC ..... and of course we all know what that meant ...... kicks and hype fuh so ...... Anil was like de lighter side ..... each lil stint he had on de podium ..... was ah setta picong mix eeeen wit he intros ..... he had people laughin ......

Then Rocky ..... Solid as a Rock ..... Man of de Moment ..... Garcia (Diego Martin West Rep) ..... graced us with his esteemed presence ...... now Rocky is man I know donkey years ..... from since back in de day when he was ah kinda delinquent yout ...... and I know that people change ...... and people mature ...... etc etc ..... but fuh some strange reason ..... altho Rocky is now a successful businessman ..... Rocky is ah man dat I still cyah take seriously ..... ah mean ..... he talk some good talk eh ..... but I doh know ...... every time I see Rocky on a podium ..... all I does tink about ..... was two years ago ...... fuh de lass election ...... when he was drivin around de area in ah car wit ah loud speaker ...... playin de theme song from de movie Rocky ..... and Eye of the Tiger  ...... and pretty much any other songs wit a 'Rock' connection ....... like Solid as a Rock  ..... yes ....... dat shit was just too funny ..... and oh so annoying! ..... so fuh me ..... Rocky will always come across like ah kicks man ...... anyway ..... de man say he doh understand how a big community like Diego Martin doh have ah hospital ..... an' all I studying is ..... what is de SDA community hosptial ..... and Westshore (I guess pay ones!) ..... den he start tuh lament de water situation ..... which IS a situation fuh real ..... den he say he want tuh implement some community centres fuh de yout ...... really an' truly ..... he did highlight ah few pertinent issues dat he want tuh tackle ...... but his rhetoric was mainly about loudin-up de PNM as opposed tuh loudin-up his intentions (which btw turned out tuh be de MO fuh de nite) ....

After him .... ah tink was Nicole Dyer (Diego Martin Central Rep) ...... now again ...... all I does see when I see Nicole Dyer ...... is a Beauty Queen ..... a beauty queen who was probably de only beauty queen tuh not make it tuh de final 10 ..... when is she country self ..... was hostin de Miss Universe ...... cuz we all know dat once your country is de host ..... yuh bound tuh fall eeeeeen de final 10! ...... but I digress ..... Nicole Dyer was actually refreshing to the ear following raucous Rocky ...... cuz she is actually very well spoken ..... which I didn't know ...... oh and did I mention she's Captain Gary Griffith's wife ...... ok ...... that was just a lil tidbit ...... Nicole's talk was mainly a kinda 'tryin tuh inspire de people' one  ...... and not really dealin with any concrete issues ...... and she didn't mince words ...... when at one point she started tuh lambaste de youts ..... fuh takin part in de Brad Boyce protest in St. Jospeh ...... she went tuh town on dat ...... all in all ...... she was an interesting speaker!

Den ah tink Garvin Nicholas (Diego Martin North East Rep) came on next ...... oh gorm ah love his grey hair ...... Garvin didn't say much ..... he pretty much just came on tuh say HEY! ....... he make meh cringe tho ...... when at de start of his holla ..... he referred tuh his same beauty queen colleague as a former Beauty Queen ..... cuz who cares about dat kinda shit at a party meeting!

After Garvin was Gizelle Russell (POS South Rep) ..... ah tink she from NJAC ..... and up tuh now me eh know what she say ..... not a very dynamic speaker ..... I zone out!

Then came Mr. De Lima ..... I eh know he first name ...... all ah know is ...... he is de man who buss de mark on Calder Hart ...... de man who went and get de documents from Malaysia etc ...... and WOW ...... he did not let us forget it ...... dat is all de man talk about last nite ...... Calder Hart ..... I zone out again!

And last but certainly not least ...... a man I actually like ..... Mr. Winston Dookeran came on  next ..... but I eh really stay tuh hear him ..... cuz fren had tuh go an' pick up she chile ..... den next fren was feelin sick ..... den I was feelin hungry ...... so we left .....

So tonight is Rowley in Starlite Plaza ...... an' I eh know if ah goin yet ..... cuz jus like ah didn't know what tuh make of Rocky ..... I still eh know what tuh make of Rowley .... and as we on names endin in 'eeeeee'  ..... wuz de real scene too wit Volney ..... and oh gorm ...... poor Percy!!
