Last nite ah went tuh see Sex and the City .....
 
..... and ..... being Tuesday ..... de cheap(er) day at Movie Towne ...... it was lil ram ......  and ..... while I sat there ...... waiting fuh de movie tuh start ...... I had nuff time tuh maco people comin in ...... lookin fuh seat ...... and one such person was ..... de Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs odda half ...... and it got me thinking about the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs himself ...... Anil!

Now I know Anil donkey years ..... and fuh all of those years he was always de life of de party ...... de man does talk real shit ...... and always have yuh laughin ..... with him there is NEVER a dull moment! ..... let's just say ..... de man is ah character an' ah half!!! ...... so ...... needless tuh say ..... when he was appointed a Minister ..... I was shocked ..... and happy (fuh him) at de same time ..... cuz my boy suddenly went from Spalker ...... talkin de talk ..... tuh Sport Minister ..... now walkin de walk!!!

Earlier this year ..... March 19 tuh be exact ...... ah was hangin wit a fren ..... and she chain meh up tuh go Spalkers (Anil joint in St. Anns) ..... tuh kill some time ...... and tuh kinda maco de scene too ..... cuz we know he had open ah restaurant ...... but we'd never been .....

So we reach up in Cascadia ...... and WOW ..... from de outside alone .... I was done impressed ..... cuz dat $2M stadium flag didn't want nuttin wit Anil sparkly Spalkers Flag ...... everyting was RED, WHITE and BLACK ..... an' yuh know how meh red, white an' black does done bamboozle meh!

Gorn inside de place now ..... and WOW again ...... RED, WHITE and BLACK everywhere ...... de chairs .... de tables ..... de walls ..... de pictures on de walls ..... de counter tops ...... de menu ..... everyting ..... everyting was red, white and black ..... de decor was simply lovely ..... and undoubtedly patriotic ..... even Anil an' all was representin ..... in he red T-shirt ..... yeah ...... Anil was actually there ...... and as he spot us ...... he came straight over tuh our table ...... and in true Anil style he immediately welcomed us wit some chupid talk first ..... and then swiftly got down tuh de serious business of his business ..... wit recommendations on de drinks and de eats!!!

De vibes was real nice ..... we end up limin fuh about an hour ...... we had some drinks ...... no eats ...... Anil entertained .....we talk some good shit!

But I'm wondering .....

Dat new bacchanal dat brewin ..... wit Jack Warner and Fifa and being a Minister ...... would that apply tuh Anil too ...... cuz I doh know if is because I know him ..... but tuh me ...... some of de charm of hangin at Spalkers dat day ..... was actually being able tuh hang wit de original Spalker himself!
