About two weeks ago ..... Ticketmaster call meh tuh find out if ah goin Jah Cure ..... cuz she say she listenin tuh de radio ..... and she gettin real hype ...... and she want tuh go ..... so I get confuse ..... cuz is SHE hadda say if we going ..... she is de ticketmaster!!!

So anyway ..... after I reminded her of that fact ..... she say OK OK ..... ah go put meh feelers out ..... and hope fuh de bess ....

Well ..... de bess was really yet tuh come .....

Cuz de day before de concert now ..... Friday 3 ..... she call meh tuh tell meh SALT! ..... but ..... me eh dig nuttin ..... cuz yuh win some ..... yuh lose some ..... and tuh besides ...... Friday was de day before de sale ah was takin part in ..... so I was real busy ...... and I really didn't have no Jah Cure or Junior Gong or Nas on my mind at de time ....

So Satuday reach now ..... and after goin tuh bed at 2:30 am (Friday into Saturday) ..... and gettin up at 6:00 am .... tuh head out fuh sale day ..... I was dead tuh de world by Saturday nite (i.e. de nite of de concert) ..... and I end up crashin by my fren .....

A A .... muzbe about ..... 10:00 pm now ..... my cell phone start tuh vibrate with ah text from ah nex fren ..... tellin me dat he have two General Admission tickets ..... if ah want tuh go .....

Now ..... ah didn't mean tuh sound ungrateful eh ..... but ah reply HELL NO! ..... and if yuh read meh first Jah Cure review  ..... yuh will see why ...... an' is not like ah stoosh or nuttin like dat eh .... is jus dat .... fuh certain tings .... I realise I is ah triple VIP!!!

Anyway ..... so as ah was sayin .... ah reply an' tell him HELL NO .... and he reply an' say FUH REAL! ..... and dat was de end of dat .....

Muzbe less dan ah hour later now ..... my boy sen ah nex text tuh say .... he have two backstage passes ..... so of course meh eye open proper now ..... cuz BACKSTAGE!? ..... that's a whole other kettle of fish ..... but .... I must have been really out of it ..... cuz I reply and tell de man .... AH TIRED AH CYAH MAKE ..... and went straight back tuh sleep .....

Right ....

So about ah half hour after dat now ..... fren wake meh up and tell meh tuh get out he house ..... so by 11:30 pm I was home and heading for a nice warm shower .....

While showering now ..... like ah get second wind ..... an' ah remember dat ah wanted tuh see Saturday Night Live (cuz ah wanted tuh see P Diddy) ..... so wit meh still tired (but clean) self ..... ah small-up mehself on meh couch ..... an' ah turn orn de TV tuh wait fuh SNL .....

Properly snuggled up now .... ah get ah next text ..... SCENE, YUH SURE YUH TIRED .... LEH WE GO NAH! ..... so .... after contemplatin fuh all of two seconds ..... ah text back brother ..... an' ah tell him .... WHAT DE HECK .... LEH WE GO ..... so wit dah one now ..... he text back HE fren tuh tell him dat he want de backstage passes after all ..... only tuh find out dat fren done give way dat shit ahready .....

Right ..... so dat was dat ..... we stick .... an' we get de click (aka SALT)!

15 mintues later now ..... at exactly 12:15 am ..... fren go call tuh ask me ..... if I could get ready in 5 minutes ..... cuz he have tuh go Petit Valley tuh get HONEY fuh Junior Gong ..... and he have tuh do it NOW ..... and if ah still want tuh go ..... ah could come wit him .... and he fren go jus meet we by de door (i.e. de same one who was givin way de 2 backstage passes) .....

So anyway ...... long, long, long story .... short ..... ah had done hole ah fresh .... so gettin ready in 5 minutes was no scene .... we reach down de road muzbe minutes tuh one ..... couldn't get eeeeen de Jean Pierre Complex ..... cuz we didn't have no ticket ..... and had tuh make ah rounds while callin fren fuh him tuh organise fuh we tuh get eeeeen de street!! ..... I end up parking right by de entrance ..... right next tuh de turnstyle ting .... so we literally jumped out de car ..... and viola ..... we was eeeeeeen ...... eeeeeeen backstage .....

In all my years of pippsin in VIP and Backstage an ting .... dat was de smoothest scene ever .....



When we reach ..... Junior Gong and Nas was doin dey ting ..... and WOW ..... I eh really no hip-hop fan ..... but Nas was da bomb!!!! ..... Junior Gong was good too eh ..... but Nas was da bomb ..... I position mehself right in front de stage ..... standin on one setta scaffoldin dat dey didn't end up usin .... but ..... whatever ..... it gave me height ..... tuh be able tuh take a couple pics ..... at one point .... Nas was right whey I was ..... I coulda touch de man foot .....

What I liked too was that Nas and Junior Gong performed together ..... and they did so for about 2 hours ..... wit ah flagman who never let up ..... yep ..... besides de backup band and de backup singers ..... dey had ah flagman on de stage who was real kicks ..... de man wave dat flag up and down de stage fuh de whole time!!!

Jah Cure closed the show at about 4:00 am ..... after performing fuh only about 45 minutes ..... after he had us waiting ..... fuh like nearly an hour ...... but ..... in classic Jah Cure style ..... he come an' he sing he two tree love song ..... and all was well .... altho a lot of people started walkin out when he came on .....

All in all ..... I was real glad I end up gettin my lazy ass off dat couch ..... cuz backstage was gorn ...... ah see real VIPs ah eh see in ah while ..... but still it wasn't too crowded either..... den de ground had dat port-o-floor ting ...... which was much needed after dat crazy rain dat fall fuh de whole of Saturday!!!! ..... and de bar people was real efficient too ..... altho ah couldn't understand de lack of STAG and CARIB ..... yeah ..... dey only had Heineken??!! (Grrrrrrrr?) ..... I was able tuh breathe (the most lovely smelling air ) and drink and take eeeen de concert ..... in ultimate comfort!

So ah saw Jah Cure once  .... and ah saw Jah Cure twice ..... den Saturday nite made it thrice ..... was de first fuh Junior Gong ..... and de first fuh Nas ..... it was definitely a concert worth leavin meh house for!!!
