Leh meh start off ..... by offering a prayer fuh Benjai ...... cuz straight from gettin arrested (fuh cussin) Christmas time ..... he crash he car in de new year ..... and now COTT or whoever sayin dat he eh get permission tuh use de sample fuh TRINI ..... an' now de creator lookin fuh he royalties .... an' all kyna drama!
So Lord .... ah pleadin ..... please put ah hand ..... cuz watch meh ..... yuh see dat song he have called TRINI ..... is de BADDEST ting on de scene right now .... an' it goin an' lick-up everyting fuh Cahneeval!!!
Anyway ..... da'is not why ah logon today .....
Ah logon today ..... cuz altho I've been pretty quiet over the past few weeks .....
I have been reading papers ..... and I have been seeing lots of crapable shit ..... like Census Day ...... or Census Night ...... or whatever it was!
Cuz HELLO ..... was it really necessary ..... tuh 'launch' an upcoming Census wit ah Carnival-esq Concert ..... and was it really necessary tuh put all dem full-page colour ads in de papers ..... and was it really necessary tuh put more than one ad .... in de same papers on de same day ..... and mind you ..... da'is in addition tuh ads on de TV ..... and I assume de radio too ..... cuz I doh listen tuh radio!
Now ah know dat it important tuh let de people know what goin down eh ..... an' apparently we eh do ah Census since de year 2000 ..... so in true Trini style ..... an' because we in de heat of Carnival ..... I guess de Government saw it fit ..... tuh make up fuh de big gap ..... by trowin ah FREE show ..... tuh say that 2011 is a Census year ....... cuz yuh know us Trinis ..... we doh really take orn nuttin unless it come package like ah lime ..... and better fete if it FREE with two/three lil Soca Artistes passin tru!
But ..... surprisingly ..... all de advertisin .... and freeness ..... and carnival flavour ..... had little effect ..... cuz in de end ..... de whole scene turn out tuh be a very enjoyable senseless Census show ..... cuz even tho de performances was borse .... de attendance was BOO ..... so really an' truly ..... all dat was achieved ..... is dat we now know Rikki Jai new soca fuh 2011 ..... and Maximus Dan own too .... and oh ..... on ah personal .... ah get tuh see de beautiful grounds of NAPA (cuz I still never been inside) ...... an' ah finally get tuh see Benjai live!
Odda dan dat ...... we get tuh find out ...... dat between Jan 9 and Feb 20 ...... some people go come knockin on we door ...... and dat de approved knock is ....... KNOCK KNOCK (see ad above) ...... and if dey knock any more or any less ..... yuh could call 800-2011 tuh verify dat dey is ..... who dey say dey is ..... an' watch meh ..... dat is very important information eh ..... make sure an' memorise dat number ..... cuz yuh know dem bandit an' dem muzbe done organise dey fake ID ..... and dey fake vest ..... and dey fake clipboard ..... tuh come and 'census' yuh belongings in yuh house!!!
Anyway ..... fuh those of you couldn't make it tuh de people FREE EVENT ..... leh meh jus sum it up fuh yuh .... it was staged outside NAPA .... in de front ..... it was just ah big open space with a stage set up on de NAPA steps and bordered by a fence enclosing VIPs (like me 
and Government Officials) .... de place was real decorate-up wit ah setta red, white and black banner and flag an' ting ..... and de show started at about 6:15 ..... with performances by David Bereaux and Band .... Exodus Steel Orchestrea .... Rikki Jai ..... Gayzette .... Skid Neverly .... Nadia Batson .... Maximus Dan .... and Benjai ..... oh and de Laventille Rhythm Section ended off tings at about 9:45 ..... wit ah nice lil jam session!
All in all .... it was a well-organised show ..... and I enjoyed ..... cuz honestly ..... dat start de Cahneeeval fuh me .....
Anyway .... remember ..... you count ..... so you must be counted ..... dey comin .... knockin ..... and de first question dey goin an' ask yuh .... is where yuh was Census Night ..... so make ah mental note one time!

#1 I agree 100%; Benjai come REAL good this year. Trini is the new official Trinbagonian representation chune around the world... Trini 2 d bone step aside, you did well.
I doh business if dem white people in London doh like it, dey go have to tolerate it everytime I in traffic or if I stop at a traffic light or if I parking or if I just slow down for dem to hear it better...lol. Plus, I winin' to side too!!!!!
#2 - Dat census thing is real frkin' jones. The postman always rings twice... So bandit cyah come and knock twice too? Dem politicians eh bet dey dotish nah.

I think I heard the new Maximus cuz I always locked on to red96.7, but the song is real too-too... and Maximus is mih REAL boy with dem positive lyrics eh.

Well I doh listen tuh radio .... so I eh know which Maximus dey playin ..... but he drop two new ones dat nite .... and one ah dem ..... ah real likin ..... it lil techno-ish .....
Oh and dat NAPA place is FAB in real .... when next yuh in Trini ..... go check it out ..... and do it at night ..... it's gorgeous at night ....

Aye wauzdescene....Its great to see that the govt is using NAPA for so many things after they pong and bash it fuh so....Ive been inside a few times as well...it really is a beautiful buidling.
As for the census...I await to see if they pull it off because I had applied to become a census worker myself...HA HA they were practically begging people on the road to apply. Buh den they FORGET to call me...so say wha....buh I aint vex cuz dais some real hot sun dem walking tru 0_o
Buh Benjai need a bush bath in trute...I tink is jus de SOCA MAFIA trying to block him....how much udder soca star ILLEGALLY SAMPLE song too? Especially Machel and Destra...loud steups...Benjai yuh come GOOD this year...WINE TUH DE SIDE!

De Census start ..... a friend of mine tell meh dat dey done reach by he house in Valley ..... and ask him ah setta chupidness .... like if he livin in ah house or ah apartment ..... mind you ..... dey was actually at de house askin said questions eh ..... so is not like dey couldn't see dat is clearly not an apartment!

But yea gyal, de census lady pass by me today and asked some unusual questions like internet access, chronic diseases,environmental problems...a setta whack questions. But she was courteous and well groomed...so clearly dey training was well done....well done CSO.
